Our Farm

Nestled along the scenic Akkedisberg Pass in the Overberg, Stonehouse Cheese Estate is a 126-hectare working farm where farming and cheesemaking go hand in hand. Home to over 150 dairy cows grazing on more than 120 hectares of pasture, our farm provides the foundation for the quality and flavour that define our cheeses.

In addition to our dairy herd, the farm is home to donkeys, horses, and pigs. Our pigs are sustainably raised on the nutritious whey produced during the cheesemaking process, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. This integrated approach reflects our commitment to responsible farming, animal welfare, and making the most of the natural resources available on the farm.
